Christmas Day Crackers

This year I was responsible for making the christmas crackers.
I took on a theme of cartoon-styled paper cut motifs on individually decorated papers. No two were the same!
Each cracker contained a snapper, chocolate, a balloon, a scratch card, a joke, and lots of stamped stars which went everywhere!

Here's how I wrap…

Individualised wrapping on Christmas presents this year. I particularly enjoyed decorating the wrapping paper myself.

Craft Night!

My friend came round and we had a fantastic craft night together! She made birthday cards with letter stamps and paper collages, and I made this patterned heart cutout card as a sympathy card for friends (a couple) at a very sad time. It felt very nourishing to share this evening with a friend.

Mum's birthday 2015

Mum's surprise birthday treat was a trip to Coronation Street. Using the cobbles as inspiration, I made her card based on this pattern:

I also wanted to make a necklace based on a design we had seen in a high street store.

I'm really pleased with how it turned out!

10k run fundraising for Anthony Nolan

I signed up to be a stem cell donor for Anthony Nolan.
It costs them £100 to register a new donor. So I made an effort to get a little of that back for them by doing a bake sale at work and doing Run Norwich 10k. I raised £37, which is some way towards recovering their costs. I'm not finished yet though…!

Fish Card

The theme for my dad's birthday card this year was fish, as my parents recently got some rose minnows for their pond.

Arlo Baby Bunting

Family Tree of Love

I completed a family tree papercut commission which was a perfect gift to a father of a loving family.

Check out the timelapse film…

Calligraphy practice

I've been practicing my calligraphy every time I sell something online.
I hope it's a nice surprise for people when they receive something with a bit of extra care gone into it.

Sunset papercut

I hadn't considered doing a layered landscape papercut before. I'm pleased with how it turned out, and it was fun to do!

This year my dad gets my 'Fab Dad' papercut card.

I also made some raw chocolate-fruit-nut balls. He loved them.

Running plan for RN2015

Doing my first ever race, Run Norwich 10k, I decided to make my own training plan.
I designed it to fit in my filofax, and fold in half so that I could still access my diary easily. It worked a treat!

Tracy & Rochelle's First Wedding Anniversary Paper Cut

I was asked to make a paper cut for a friend to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.
The colour scheme of their wedding was red and white. I was shown their amazing wedding cake for inspiration:

I made a quick sketch with their specific words, dates and initials. They loved it straight away, and suggested to include more song lyrics.

I drew it up at full size and cut it out:

I mounted it on red with foam sticky tabs behind the cut so that it raised it from the backing slightly:

I also did a timelapse of it being cut:The Cutting of 'To The Stars And Back' from Charlotte Vogel on Vimeo.
