Individualised wrapping on Christmas presents this year. I particularly enjoyed decorating the wrapping paper myself.

Earring for my bestie

I made earrings for my best friend. She loves them. Still practicing fake calligraphy on envelopes. 

Delux Ear Muffs

I burnt the inside of my ear muffs with a hairdryer (don't ask). So I deconstructed the fluffiest thing I had to hand – a cushion – and sewed it to the inside to make a wonderful, super-fluffy lining! 

A happy accident as they turned out ten times better than they were originally! 

Gift for a new home with a garden…

My gym class instructors and friends, Anne and Chris, finished instructing at my gym as they are moving away, to a cottage with a garden. As a fiarwell gift I put together a little gardeners starter kit. 

I made a lining for a box…

…pretty pleased with that…

…I filled it with gardinging essentials…

…and tied a big bow around it…

…and gave it to them after their last class when we said goodbye…

Cutie Creature print

I'm thrilled to have a large print of these cute creatures which I've admired for a long time. It's by Köln-based freelance motion-designer André Kniepkamp. I met him in 2009 whilst visiting Köln. He's a dude. This print makes me smile every time I look at it – it's such a lovely, friendly cuddly hug! It reminds me of how I hugged my cat!

New baby bunting

A friend in Stuttgart has a new baby boy. He sent me a cute pic of him with the name bunting garland I made.  

Alison Moyet Birthday Surprise

Dad and I surprised mum on her birthday with the news that we had booked seats at Alison Moyet's gig in Ipswich. As it was booked online I didn't get a physical ticket, so I designed our own. 
Mum was absolutely thrilled, I don't think I've ever chosen a better birthday present!
