Congratulations on your Engagement

An intricate hand-cut card to congratulate my friends on their recent engagement.
I never want to cut out a swirl ever again. Straight lines and curves are the way forward for hand-cuts!

2nd Birthday Card

I made a little card for my boyfriend's little niece, who just turned two. The two is suspended above the kitten to tease it.
"Two eyes, two ears… and you are now two years old!"

CAT Gold Glitter Bunting

To accompany my friend's 'New Home' card, I also made her a small string of bunting with her name. She loves wearing her gold mirror Pegasus necklace by Tatty Devine, and so this gold glitter card with black satin ribbon will suit her well.

HOME card

My friend recently moved to a new home, so I made her a card with typography inspired by the LOVE sculpture by American artist Robert Indiana. I also went the extra mile and hand drew a kitschy flourish pattern for the insert paper, inspired by Blutsgeschwister's Autumn/Winter 2011 catalogue.

Happy Birthday Auntie Amanda

A card for my aunt, using my circle cutter.

Cute Cake Bunting

I have started a new line for my shop: CAKE BUNTING.
I made this sample to send to my mum.
I'm impressed by how it suddenly makes something look so much more fun – my ciabatta had never seemed so happy!
(I used a ciabatta for photographing because I'm not so great at making cakes!)

MASS paper cut series – Machine

The second in the series of MASS paper cuts.
More accurate than the first image, but it's still not precise enough, which is disappointing and too noticeable with such a graphic image.

I'd like to make all 6 scenes from our animation… but maybe I'll wait until I meet someone with a laser cutter.
(Watch the animation HERE)

MASS paper cuts – Gears

Finally finished the MASS Gears paper cut, the first scene in the MASS animation.
This is in heavy weight black paper. I'm not so happy, the thickness of the paper made it difficult to get the cut perfect, especially the curves. I am looking into using finer stock and upgrading my knife to a swivel blade.
