Mum's birthday 2015

Mum's surprise birthday treat was a trip to Coronation Street. Using the cobbles as inspiration, I made her card based on this pattern:

I also wanted to make a necklace based on a design we had seen in a high street store.

I'm really pleased with how it turned out!

Father's Day 2015

This year my dad gets my 'Fab Dad' papercut card.

I also made some raw chocolate-fruit-nut balls. He loved them.

Tracy & Rochelle's First Wedding Anniversary Paper Cut

I was asked to make a paper cut for a friend to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.
The colour scheme of their wedding was red and white. I was shown their amazing wedding cake for inspiration:

I made a quick sketch with their specific words, dates and initials. They loved it straight away, and suggested to include more song lyrics.

I drew it up at full size and cut it out:

I mounted it on red with foam sticky tabs behind the cut so that it raised it from the backing slightly:

I also did a timelapse of it being cut:The Cutting of 'To The Stars And Back' from Charlotte Vogel on Vimeo.

My gran turned 88 today. I made her this card and bought her some German honey.
Here are some work in progress shots in reverse order:

Tree Wedding Card

A friend wanted a special wedding card for her friends. She was giving them a tree as a wedding present so I made this card…

…here is is ready to start cutting…

…5 hours later I finished cutting and removed the template…

…I tidied up the edges, it looked really nice on a glass table outside!…

…I made a window card mount for it…

…I liked the way the front of the card bowed forwards – this meant the cut cast shadows on the background rather than looking flat…

…finished!

Happy Birthday Helen framed paper cut

My cousin loved her Special Space Bunnies Edition Birthday Card so much that she framed it! She did a wonderful job, it's perfect! I did suggest she remove the lettering, as it's on a separate layer, but she was exceptionally happy with it being her birthday all year round!
