Happy Eyes

My gran is having an operation on her eyes this week. I sent her this 'moving eyes' card to wish her luck and make her laugh.

Happy Father's Day 2012

A hand cut Father's Day card for my dad. Dark blue card with gold behind – such a lovely, rich colour combination.

Magpie card

Handcut birthday card for a friend, who loves Tatty Devine. This design is based on Tatty Devine's iconic Magpie Necklace, which my friend often wears.
I love the idea of a double sided card – I haven't made one like this before.

I had a spare Tatty Devine sticker, so I used this to seal the cellophane wrapper. It finished it off perfectly and has inspired me to have some of my own made for this purpose.

NNF thank you card

A thank you card to the Norfolk & Norwich Festival for being such great clients this year, and also to thank them for bringing so many great shows to Norwich. Card design is hand cut, using their branding typeface, logo, and primary colour scheme.

I love you to the moon and back

I love the moon… my digital doodle.
(this makes a lovely desktop wallpaper if you like the moon!)

Once around the sun!

I made a birthday card for our one-year-old little friend on her first birthday. The design is inspired by the sun, as she has now been all the way around it!

Lauren & Lawrence's big day

Congratulations to Lauren & Lawrence, who tied the knot
in fabulous style in Reutlingen, Germany, on 25 May 2012.

As a wedding gift I made table bunting and other decorations for their marquee.
The colours were taken from the dresses of each of the seven bridesmaids.
The decorations got many compliments and were well suited to the personalities of the happy couple.

More photos of the Mr&Mrs banner are here.

The table bunting was a real success and really added to the party atmosphere.
I also made extra bunting for the entrance, bar, cake table, etc.

I made table numbers from a simple paper cylinder design, displaying an elaborate
cut-out number. Although the 13 table stands took about 5 hours to complete, it was worth the effort as they looked really great.

Inspired by the Tatty Devine Señorita Fan idea, I made paper fans to hang in the windows. They also made fun dancing props for guests later in the night.

I made colourful tags for a 'Wish Tree', where guests could write a wish for the newly weds (in English or German) and tie it to the tree.
Some really lovely messages were passed on.

And finally, after making all this bunting, I couldn't resist buying the Tatty Devine Brights bunting necklace for Lauren. Perfect gift to round off the theme.

Thanks to Lou May for the professional photographs!

Finishing touches…

On the 8:15 train from Stuttgart to Reutlingen, just hours before the wedding service, I was sewing blue bows on my shoes to complete my outfit. The finishing touch for myself, along side my DIY table decorations.
Check out their big day here!
